Organisation 1960:

In 8.67 the 8th Guards Motorised Rifle Division was transferred to Frunze, Frunze Oblast - replaced by the 144th Guards Motorised Rifle Division.

In 7.68 the 265th Motorised Rifle Division was transferred to the Far East - replaced by the 107th Motorised Rifle Division.

In 11.68 the 74th Motorised Rifle Division was activated, to replace the 18th Guards Motorised Rifle Division, which had moved to Czechoslovakia.

In 8.69 the 31st Guards Motorised Rifle Division was transferred to the Far East.

In 1972 the 153rd Motorised Rifle Division (mobilisation) was activated.

15.1.74 awarded the Red Banner.

In 1974 the 149th Guards Artillery Division was activated.

In 10.89 the 3rd Guards Motorised Rifle Division was transferred to the Baltic Fleet.
