In 1980 the 000 independent Motor Transport Battalion was
renamed 1161st independent Material Supply Battalion.
In 4.80 the 34th independent Tank Battalion arrived in Mongolia
from the 138th independent Tank Regiment in Germany
(renamed 34th independent Tank Battalion), and was attached to
the division.
In 1980 the 523rd Motorised Rifle Regiment was transferred to
the 51st Tank Division, and was replaced by the 189th Motorised Rifle Regiment,
from the same division.
