Flak-Brigade VII

Formed 6.40* in France (Luxembourg?) from Stab/Flak-Brigade Frantz**. Served in the Caen-Cherbourg-Channel Islands area, and later transferred to Luftgau-Kommando Belgien-Nordfrankreich. In November 1941 moved to Sicily (to protect the airfields on Sicily). In 8.42 renamed 19. Flak-Division, and was transferred to North Africa.

Reformed 6.44 in Linz (as 7. Flak-Brigade) from parts of the 24. Flak-Division, to protect the Linz-Steyr-Wels area.

Stab/Flak-Regiment 98 (o) left the brigade in 7.44, and was replaced by Stab/Flak-Regiment 76 (o) and Stab/Flak-Regiment 184 (o).

Organisation 1.9.44:

Stab/Flak-Regiment 184 (o) left the brigade in 9.44 and Stab/Flak-Regiment 88 (o) left in 10.44.

Organisation 1.12.44:

Surrendered 5.45.

* According to one source, the brigade was formed 1.2.40 in Mosel from Luftabwehrkommando Mosel.

** Stab/Flak-Brigade Frantz was formed 5.40 from Stab/Flugabwehrkommando Luxembourg (ex Flugabwehrkommando Mosel). Took part in the invasion of France. In 6.40 became Stab/Flak-Brigade VII.
