1987 took over two S-125M (SA-3) battalions from the disbanded
85th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade.
1991 with 2 S-125M (SA-3 - mobilisation), 4 S-300PS (SA-10) and 2 S-200V (SA-5) battalions.
1993 withdrawn to Desnogorsk, Smolensk Oblast, united with the
493rd Guards Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment and
renamed 284th Guards Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment.
