Activated 1973 in Sevastopol, Crimean Oblast.

Consisted of complex RO-4* (Early Warning-4) with one 5N86 (Dnepr) (NATO: dual Hen House) radar.

5N86 radar (44 34 44N, 33 23 11E) - construction began 1973 - alert duty from 1977 - later upgraded to 5N86M Dnepr-M - taken over by Ukraine in 1992, and rented by the Russians to 2008 - now replaced by the new 77Ya-6DM (Voronezh-DM) radar at Armavir
Support area (44 34 08N, 33 24 26E)

* the RO-3 complex was planned for Franz Joseph Land in the Arctic, but was plans were cancelled due to costs and terrain difficulties
