Activated 31.8.77 in Gabala, Azerbaizhan SSR.

Consists of complex RO-7 (Early Warning-7) with one 5N79 Daryal (NATO: Pechora) radar (transmitter and receiver).

Contruction of the radar complex began in 6.77 - the complex went on experimental alert duty 30.11.84, and full alert duty from 20.2.85 - taken over by Azerbaizhan in 1992, and leased to Russia, which expires in 2012. The lease might be extended, even though the new 77Ya-6DM (Voronezh-DM) radar in Armavir covers the same area.
