• 27th Air Defence Corps (Riga, Latvian SSR)
• 3rd Air Defence Division (Baltiysk, Kaliningrad Oblast)

In 1973 the 3rd Air Defence Division was disbanded.

Red Banner awarded 15.1.74.

18.11.77 the 27th Air Defence Corps came under the Baltic Military District.

Organisation 1980:

• 25th independent Transport Aviation Squadron (Machulischi, Minsk Oblast)
• 11th Air Defence Corps (Baranovichi, Minsk Oblast)

The air army was disbanded 15.3.80, and the 11th Air Defence Corps came under the Belorussian Military District.

The 2nd independent Air Defence Army was reactivated 4.86, now with:

• 25th independent Transport Aviation Squadron (Machulischi, Minsk Oblast)
• 11th Air Defence Corps (Baranovichi, Minsk Oblast)
• 28th Air Defence Corps (Lvov, Lvov Oblast)

Taken over by Belarus 1.6.92.

HQ:

• Minsk, Minsk Oblast, 1960 - 3.80 and 4.86 - 6.92 [53 57 41N, 27 38 42E]
