In 1960 the 67th independent Training Tank Battalion was disbanded.

19.2.62 the 74th independent Equipment Maintenance and Recovery Battalion was activated.

In 1968 the 55th independent Sapper Battalion was renamed 55th independent Engineer-Sapper Battalion.

Organisation 1970:

In 1972 the 000 independent Chemical Defence Company was renamed 000 independent Chemical Defence Battalion.

In 1980 the 690th independent Motor Transport Battalion was renamed 1081st independent Material Supply Battalion, and the 716th independent Guards Reactive Artillery Battery was absorbed by the Artillery Regiment.

Organisation 1980:

In 1985 the 000 independent Chemical Defence Battalion was renamed 000 independent Chemical Defence Company.

7.9.87 the 99th independent Missile Battalion was absorbed by the 459th Missile Brigade.

Organisation 1988:

In 12.89 the 87th Guards Tank Regiment, 99th independent Guards Reconnaissance Battalion and 74th independent Equipment Maintenance and Recovery Battalion were disbanded, and was replaced by the 130th Guards Tank Regiment, 56th independent Reconnaissance Battalion and 77th independent Equipment Maintenance and Recovery Battalion, from the disbanded 13th Guards Tank Division.
