Activated 5.70 on Bolshoy Ussuriyskiy Island, Khabarovsk Kray.

The unit was created to defend the two islands (Bolshoy Ussuriyskiy Island and Tarabov Island), which was fully controlled by the Soviet Union, but with the Chinese claiming both islands. The dispute was finally solved in 2008, with China gaining control of Tarabov Island and half of Bolshoy Ussuriyskiy Island.
