7.7.56 the 118th Guards Rifle Division was disbanded.

25.6.57 renamed 4th Guards Army Corps:

• 36th Guards Motorised Rifle Division (Klooga, Estonian SSR)
• 2nd Machine-Gun Artillery Division (Saaremaa Island, Estonian SSR)

In 1958 the 2nd Machine-Gun Artillery Division was renamed 132nd Motorised Rifle Division.
