Training center for the S-75 (SA-2), S-125 (SA-3), S-200 (SA-5) and S-300 (SA-10) missiles.
S-75 and S-125 training took place from two tests areas:
Site 23 - 45 26 19N, 73 24 20E
Site 25 - 45 38 40N, 72 34 07E
In 1969 an independent Anti-Aircraft Missile Group with 3 launch S-200V (SA-5) battalions were set up at Site 1E (US designation: SAM site D19-5):
Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion (45 37 35N, 72 33 25E) with 6 S-200 (SA-5) launchers
Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion (45 37 22N, 72 33 27E) with 6 S-200 (SA-5) launchers
Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion (45 37 15N, 72 33 41E) with 6 S-200 (SA-5) launchers
Technical Battalion (support area: 45 37 07N, 72 33 32E - guidance & tracking area: 45 37 36N, 72 33 59E)
In 1987 an independent Anti-Aircraft Missile Group with 2 launch S-200D (SA-5) battalions (Site 35) were taken over from the 592nd Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment:
Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion (46 23 14N, 72 51 08E) with 6 S-200 (SA-5) launchers
Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion (46 23 11N, 72 51 28E) with 6 S-200 (SA-5) launchers
Technical Battalion (support area: 46 23 47N, 72 51 32E - guidance & tracking area: 46 23 38N, 72 51 55E)
