The 116th Fighter Aviation Regiment joined the division 12.45, after the 295th Fighter Aviation Division had been disbanded - by this time almost all divisions were increased to four regiments.

In April 1947 a new directive was issued, reducing all divisions to the regular three regiment size, and the 609th Fighter Aviation Regiment was disbanded.

• 927th Fighter Aviation Regiment (Strasshof, Austria) with MiG-15

After the division returned home in 1955, a third regiment (405th Fighter Aviation Regiment) joined the division.

• 405th Fighter Aviation Regiment (Smorgon, Grodno Oblast) with MiG-15

• 927th Fighter Aviation Regiment (Bereza-Osovitsy, Brest Oblast) with MiG-15
