Began formation in January 1944 as Armeetruppe (1. Fallschirm-Armee), with 5 companies.

In 6,44 renamed renamed Fallschirm-Radfahrer-Bataillon 21.

Formation never completed and never saw any combat.

Officially disbanded 8.44.
