A Navigationslehrgang was formed in 1937, but moved to Anklam on 1.10.37.
On 1.1.40 renamed BFS Brandis-Waldpolenz.
On 15.1.40 redesignated Blindflugschule 1 (BFS 1).
On 15.10.43 redesignated Flugzeugführerschule B 31.
Pilot training ended mid-1944. Disbanded 16.4.45.
