Ju 188 of I./KG66 at Montdidier

I. Gruppe:

1./KG66 was formed in late 4.43 at Chartres from 15./KG6, with Do 217 and Ju 88A bombers. Stab I., 2. and 3./KG66 began forming at Chartres in 5.43. 1./KG66 was ready in 7.43, and the rest of the unit in 11.43.

4./KG66 was formed at Avord on 21.10.43, from 2.(Ausb. u. Erp.)/KG60 and Erprobungsstaffel 188 and (Ju 188 bombers).

On 25.4.44 the unit was reorganised: 3./KG66 became 6./FAGr.123 and 4./KG66 became Ergänzungsstaffel/KG66. New 3. - 5./KG66** was formed in Flensburg(?) from 4. - 6./KG54, and the unit now had 5 staffeln. 5./KG66 was disbanded 11.44.

** 3., 4. and 5./KG66 in Flensburg, 5.5.44 - 26.6.44, except 4./KG66 at St. André, 4.6.44 - 10.6.44; 4./KG66 at Montdidier 30.6.44 - 8.44; 5./KG66 at Montdidier, 30.6.44 - 8.44.

In early 11.44 redesignated II./KG200:

Stab III./KG66 became Stab II./KG200
7./KG66 became 5./KG200
8./KG66 became 6./KG200
9./KG66 became 7 and 8./KG200
