Activated 3.64 in Plesetsk, Arkhangelsk Oblast, from the 2nd Battalion of the 593rd Missile Regiment, under the 53rd NIIP (Plesetsk Test Range).

The regiment controlled site BSP-24 with 2 R-16 pads.

From 30.4.64 under the 1st Department.

The regiment stood down in 1967, and was transferred (1969) to Teykovo, Ivanovo Oblast, now under the 54th Guards Missile Division.

The regiment went on alert duty 15.11.71 with 10 UR-100K (SS-11) silos in area BRK-7.

The regiment stood down in 1989, and was disbanded.
