Activated 31.3.64 in Nizhniy Tagil, Sverdlovsk Oblast, from the 82nd independent Missile Battalion, under the 42nd Missile Division.

The regiment controlled site BSP-12 with 2 R-16 (SS-7) pads - alert duty from 26.12.63.

In 1969 the regiment took over site BSP-1 from the 601st Missile Regiment and site BSP-3 from the 767th Missile Regiment:

• site BSP-12 with 2 R-16 pads
• site BSP-1 with 2 R-16 pads
• site BSP-3 with 2 R-16 pads

The regiment stood down in 1977.

The regiment went on alert duty 20.9.80 with 9 RSD-10 Pioner-K (15P645K) (SS-20) missiles.

The regiment stood down 1985, and began conversion to the RT-2PM Topol (15P158) (SS-25) missile - alert duty from 22.8.87.

Disbanded 2008.
