Activated 20.12.66 in Nizhniy Tagil, Sverdlovsk Oblast, under the 42nd Missile Division.

In 1967 transferred to Derzhavinsk, Turgay Oblast, under the 38th Missile Division.

The regiment went on alert duty 16.8.69 with 6 R-36 (8K67) (SS-9) missiles in area BRK-3.

The regiment stood down 1979 and converted to the R-36MUTTKh (SS-18 missile) - alert duty from 20.9.79.

The regiment stood down 1990 and converted to the R-36M2 missile - alert duty from 1990.

Disbanded 1995.
