Activated 1.8.60 at Tulchin, Vinnitsa Oblast, under the 19th Missile Division.
1961 transferred to Starokonstantinov, Khmelnitskiy Oblast and 1.6.61 to Rakovo (Khmelnitskiy), Khmelnitskiy Oblast.
Organisation:
The two first battalions stood down 1968, and the regiment began conversion to the UR-100 (SS-11) missile - the third battalion (four R-12U silos) became independent under the 43rd Missile Army as the 1st independent Missile Battalion (military unit: 59936), but stood down in late 1971, and was disbanded.
The regiment went on alert duty 1.3.70 with 10 UR-100 (8K84M) silos in area BRK-3.
Converted to the UR-100N (15A30) (SS-19) missile and went on alert duty 10.75.
Converted to the UR-100NU (15A35) missile and went on alert duty in 1983.
The missiles were removed 1993, and the regiment officially stood down in November 1993.
Disbanded 1.7.97.
US designation 1960-1968: Derazhnya MRBM complex (Derazhnya 1 & 2, and Khmeltnitskiy launch sites). Type II (pad) and IV (silo) sites.

Three alternative fixed field sites for the pad launchers, were set up at Khmelnitskiy (49 25 05N, 27 06 21E - only 2 pads) and Letichev (site 1: 49 22 46N, 27 43 59E and site 2: 49 25 18N, 27 44 25E). All appeared to be inactive by 1967.
