Missile Brigade, from the 11th Cannon Artillery Brigade and the 265th Guards
Tank Regiment.
Initial organisation:
30.5.61 renamed 36th Missile Division.
15.2.62 HQ transferred to Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Kray, and the missile regiments in Itatka
now became attached to the 39th Guards Missile Division.
In March 1964 all R-16 battalions were upgraded to regiments:
1965 began conversion to the UR-100 (SS-11) missile.
30.6.65 renamed 36th Guards Missile Division, when it
inherited the awards from the 265th Guards Tank Regiment.
In 1969 the 755th Missile Regiment were
transferred to Derzhavinsk, Turgay Oblast (38th Missile
Division) and the 790th Missile Regiment to Uzhur,
Uzhur, Krasnoyarsk Kray (62nd Missile Division).
Organisation 1972 (60 UR-100 silos, 4 R-16 pads and 3 R-16
silos):
The R-16 missile was phased out in 1976.
Organisation 1984 (60 UR-100K silos):
The division began converting to the RT-23 (SS-24) rail-based missile
in 1989.
Organisation 1992 (30 UR-100K silos and 12 RT-23UTTKh
rail-mobile launchers):
Organisation 2000:
1.7.2002 renamed 1330th Equipment and Weapons Storage.
Disbanded 2004.
