Activated 21.1.85 in Teykovo, Ivanovo Oblast, under the 54th Guards Missile Division.

The regiment went on alert duty 20.9.88 with 9 RT-2PM Topol (15P158) (SS-25) missiles.

The regiment stood down 21.11.2005 and began conversion to the RT-2PM2 (SS-27) - alert duty 10.12.2006 with 3 missiles.

12.2007 alert duty with 6 missiles and from 2008 all three battalions were operational with a total of 9 RT-2PM2 (SS-27) missiles.
