The regiment stood down 25.2.78, and was transferred to Nizhniy Tagil, Sverdlovsk Oblast, attached to the 42nd Missile Division.
The regiment went on alert duty 13.8.79 with 9 RSD-10 Pioner-K (15P645K) (SS-20) missiles.
The regiment stood down 1.4.85, and began conversion to the RT-2PM (SS-25) missile - alert duty from 20.12.85 with 9 missiles.
Disbanded 1.12.03.
