Activated 6.64 at Vypolzovo, Tver Oblast, from the 2nd Battalion of the 183rd Missile Regiment - under the 7th Guards Missile Division.
The regiment controlled site BSP-42 with 2 R-16 (SS-7) pads.
The regiment stood down in 1969, and the BSP-42 site was transferred to the 183rd Missile Regiment.
The regiment went on alert duty 25.12.69 in area BRK-8, with 10 UR-100 (SS-11) silos.
Converted to the MR-UR-100 (15P015) (SS-17) missile in 1977 - alert duty from 3.11.77 with 10 silos.
The regiment stood down in 1991 (was in the process when the START treaty was signed), and was disbanded 1.4.92.
