Activated 23.4.66 in Tatischevo, Saratov Oblast, under the 60th Missile Division.

The regiment went on alert duty 1967 with 10 UR-100 (SS-11) silos in area BRK-9.

The regiment stood down 1980, and began conversion to the UR-100NU (SS-19) missile - alert duty from 1.81.

The regiment stood down 3.9.2003, and began conversion to the RT-2PM2 Topol-M2 (SS-27) missile - alert duty from 24.12.05 with six silos, and 2010 with all 10 silos.
