Activated 1969 at the Baikonur Test Center, under the 98th Missile Brigade.

The regiment went on alert duty 30.6.70 with 6 R-36-O (SS-9 FOBS) silos.

In 1979 renamed 230th independent Engineering & Test Unit (230th oiich).

The silos was deactivated in 1983, and unit was disbanded in 1984.
