Activated 31.3.66 in Kostroma, Kostroma Oblast, under the 10th Guards Missile Division.

The regiment went on alert duty 26.6.68 with 10 UR-100 (8K84) (SS-11) silos in area BRK-1.

The regiment converted to the MR-UR-100 (15A15) (SS-17) missile in 1976/77 - alert duty from 2.11.77 with 10 silos (Type IIIH) and one LCF (Type IIIX) silo.

The regiment stood down in 1.4.89, and was disbanded 1989.
