Activated 1960 in Angarsk, Irkutsk Oblast, as the 1247th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment.
Initially with 4 S-75 battalions.

Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion (52 27 29N, 103 30 39E) with S-75 (SA-2) missiles
Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion (52 33 50N, 104 22 56E) with S-75 (SA-2) missiles
Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion (52 41 24N, 103 36 34E) with S-75 (SA-2) missiles
Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion (00 00 00N, 000 00 00E) with S-75 (SA-2) missiles
Technical Battalion
1968 renamed 89th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade.
In 1968 an independent Anti-Aircraft Missile Group with 3 launch S-200 (SA-5) battalions were added to the brigade:
Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion (52 42 15N, 104 02 21E) with 6 S-200 (SA-5) launchers
Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion (52 42 20N, 104 02 38E) with 6 S-200 (SA-5) launchers
Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion (52 42 15N, 104 02 56E) with 6 S-200 (SA-5) launchers
Technical Battalion (support area: 52 42 29N, 104 02 24E - guidance & tracking area: 52 41 53N, 104 02 40E )
In 1968 took over the S-75 battalions from the 667th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment.
An additional Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion were added in 1973 for point-defence of Irkutsk and rear defence for the existing S-200 launch group:
Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion (52 22 32N, 104 27 54E) with 6 S-200 (SA-5) launchers - former S-75 launch site
Technical Battalion (support area: 52 22 32N, 104 27 37E - guidance & tracking area: 52 22 13N, 104 27 21E)
In 1973 took over the S-75 battalions from the 661st Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment.
1973 with 7 S-75M (SA-2) and 4 S-200 (SA-5) battalions.
In 1989 began conversion to the S-300PS (SA-10) missile:
Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion (52 24 44N, 103 59 01E) with S-300PS (SA-10) missile
Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion (52 41 56N, 104 02 45E) with S-300PS (SA-10) missile
1994 renamed 1534th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment.
