Activated 1953 in Narynka (Klin-10), Moscow Oblast - initially as the 1964th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment for Special Use and from 1955 as the 713th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment for Special Use.
1953 to 1983 equipped with 60 S-25 (SA-1) launchers:
In 1967 a S-125 (SA-3) battalion was added to the regiment - 56 06 50N, 36 30 51E (Moscow SAM site E31-3)
1983 converted to the S-300PT (SA-10), and parts became an independent Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion of the 789th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment.
6.83 the HQ was transferred to Savatiya, Arkhangelsk Oblast, where it controlled three S-125 (SA-3) battalions:
The first battalion went on alert duty in 10.83, followed by the two others in 1984.
1991 with 3 S-125 (SA-3) battalions.
Disbanded 1998.
