Activated 1953 in Dubrovka, Moscow Oblast - initially as the 1927th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment for Special Use and from 1955 as the 566th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment for Special Use.

1953 to 1988 equipped with 60 S-25 (SA-1) launchers:

1988 converted to the S-300PT (from 1991: S-300PM) (SA-10) with three independent battalions:

3.97 united with the 201st Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment, and renamed 210th order of Red Star Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment.

Organisation 2009 (S-300PM):

In 2011 the 1st and 3rd independent Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalions were re-equipped with the S-400 (SA-21) missile.
