Activated 5.60 in Tapa, Estonian SSR, as the 188th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment, from the 298th Fighter Aviation Regiment PVO.

Initially with 3 S-75 (SA-2) battalions, followed by 6 S-125 (SA-3) battalions in 1967.

1.68 renamed 207th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade.

Organisation 1960's:

During 1967 an independent Anti-Aircraft Missile Group with 3 launch S-200 (from mid-1970 S-200V) (SA-5) battalions were added to the brigade:

1980's with 3 S-200V (SA-5), 3 S-75 (SA-2) and 6 S-125 (SA-3) battalions.

1991 with 3 S-200V (SA-5), 1 S-75 (SA-2) and 6 S-125 (SA-3) battalions.

By late 1991 the S-300P (SA-10) were about to be introduced in the brigade, but plans were cancelled when the Soviet Union was dissolved.

Disbanded 1993.
