Activated 23.5.79 in Pushkinskiy, Moscow Oblast, as the 181st Radio-Technical Center.

Consists of a radar complex with the Don-2N (5N20) radar (NATO: Pill Box).

Construction began in 1978 (equipment installation began 1980).

11.8.86 renamed 482nd independent Radio-Technical Unit.

The complex was commissioned in 1989, and was ready for use, but did not go on alert duty until 1996.
