Activated 10.63 in Kubinka-10, Moscow Oblast.
Construction began in 10.62, but was halted in May 1963, and would not resume until after Nikita Khrushchev was replaced in October 1964. The first equipment was installed from 12.65.
The Dunay-3 radar (62zh6) begins initial tests in 1974, and official tests commences in 1975, now as part of the A-35 ABM system. This leads to a decision to upgrade the radar, and the radar is modernized 1975-1977 - now designated Dunay-3M (62zh6M).
The radar went on alert duty 15.5.78, as part of ABM system A-35M.
Organisation 1978:
The radar was further modernized in 1983, in order to detect Pershing-2 launches from Germany.
The center stood down 2006, and the radar was dismantled. The center was disbanded shortly thereafter.
