From 6.59 attached to the 2nd Cruiser Division, and from 4.61 the 2nd Anti-Submarine Warfare Division.

Disbanded 1.5.98.

Initially equipped with four Project 42 (Kola class) (probably Sokol, Orlan, Lev and Tigr) and six Project 50 (Riga class) (Kuguar, Leopard, SKR-60, SKR-77, SKR-72 and probably SKR-73). Kuguar, SKR-60 and SKR-72 left the brigade 1.2.71. The rest were phased out, as new larger warships entered the brigade, beginning from 1969.
