• 517th(?) Escort Regiment became the 37th Escort Brigade
• 519th Escort Regiment became the 51st Escort Brigade
• 516th Escort Regiment became the 75th Escort Brigade

In 1981 the 489th Training Regiment were renamed 20th independent Training Battalion.

In 1982 the 38th Escort Brigade were transferred to the new 152nd Escort Division VV MVD SSSR.

During 1981 to 1986 the 660th independent Escort Battalion existed at Krasnovishersk, Perm Oblast.
