In 1968 the 000 independent Sapper Battalion was renamed 000 independent Engineer-Sapper Battalion.

In May 1969 the 276th Motorised Rifle Regiment was fully mobilised, and took part in the "Vostok" exercise in the Far Eastern Military District (27.5 to 30.6.69).

In 1980 the 000 independent Motor Transport Battalion was renamed 894th independent Material Supply Battalion.
