10.1.80 to 18.8.80 deployed to Termez, Surkhandar'inskaya Oblast, for bridgelaying operations over the river Amu Darya.

10.80 one battalion was used to activated the new 94th Pontoon-Bridge Regiment, and was reformed.

1.9.93 transferred to Penza, Penza Oblast, united with the 426th independent Engineer-Sapper Battalion, and renamed 18th Pontoon-Bridge Regiment.

Disbanded 1.6.2009.
