In 8.68 the 31st Tank Division took part in the
invasion of Czechoslovakia, and became part of the
Central Group of Forces - replaced by the newly activated
50th Tank Division (mobilisation) in 12.68.
1.11.68 the 117th Guards Tank Division became
a training division, and was transferred to district control.
