After the 1991 Gulf War, preparations began for conversion to the MiG-31, and pilots were detached to the aircraft manufacturer in 9.91 for training - conversion cancelled 1.92.

Disbanded 1993 - aircraft taken over by Azerbaizhan Air Force.
