Formed 26.8.39 in Oldenburg from parts of II./Flak-Regiment 26 with 5 Batterien (1. - 3. schwere, 4. - 5. leichte). Until 7.42 known as Res.Flak-Abt. 264.
Reorganised as a schwere Abteilung in 8.42:
4./gem.264 became 1./884 and was reformed
5./gem.264 became 2./8841. and 2./s.264 was destroyed 5.43 in Tunisia, and was reformed in late 1943.
5. - 6./s.264 was formed in late 1944 (5. from 1./327 and 6. from 3./327).

- 2.43 in Tunisia (1. and 2./s.264), rest in Sicily
