In April 1944 the Artillerie-Ausbildungs-Batterie was redesignated the Fallschirm-Artillerie-Ersatz-Abteilung. Withdrawn from France after the Allied invasion, and was disbanded, IV. Battalion becoming Fallschirm-Jäger-Bataillon Schäfer. Reformed 1.1.45 at Wittstock (III. at Brandenburg), subordinated to the Fallschirm-Jäger-Ausbildungs- und Ersatz-Division. Disbanded 5.4.45 and was used to create the 20. Fallschirm-Jäger-Division (FJR.58)
