On 1.7.40 1./NJG1 was renamed 5./NJG1 and became part of II./NJG1, while a new 1./NJG1 was formed from 10./ZG26.

On 7.9.40 3./NJG1 moved to Deelen and became 4./NJG1, and a new 3./NJG1 was formed from 1./ZG76.

In 5.42 1./NJG1 was redesignated 7./NJG4, and a new 1./NJG1 was reformed from the rest of I./NJG1.

In 12.42 3./NJG1 was redesignated 5./NJG5, and a new 3./NJG1 was reformed from the rest of I./NJG1.

On 1.8.43 1./NJG1 was redesignated 10./NJG5, and a new 1./NJG1 was reformed from the rest of I./NJG1.

Reduced to 1./NJG1 on 30.3.45, when Stab I., 2. and 3./NJG1 was disbanded.

In 5.42 4./NJG1 was redesignated 9./NJG4, and a new 4./NJG1 was reformed from the rest of II./NJG1.

Reduced to 4./NJG1 on 30.3.45, when Stab II., 5. and 6./NJG1 was disbanded.

Formed 1.7.40 in Düsseldorf from II./NJG1 with Bf109D fighters:

Began coversion to Bf110 in August 1940, and 10. and 11./NJG1 was formed with the surplus Bf 109E fighters. 10. and 11./NJG1 remained at Düsseldorf until 10.40, when they both moved to Vlissingen, and were united as verstärkte Jagdstaffel Holland (became 1./JG1 in 12.40).

In 5.42 8./NJG1 was redesignated 8./NJG4, and a new 8./NJG1 was reformed from the rest of III./NJG1.

In 9.42 9./NJG1 was redesignated 1./NJG4, and a new 9./NJG1 was reformed from the rest of III./NJG1.

Reduced to 7./NJG1 on 30.3.45, when Stab III., 8. and 9./NJG1 was disbanded.

In 12.44 redesignated 16./NJG1, but on 1.1.45 became Stabsstaffel/NJG1.
