Formed 1.11.41 in Garz(?) as Versuchsstaffel 293 with 4 He 111H, to test the new Hs 293 missile.
On 1.3.42 became Lehr & Erprobungskommando 15.
The first Do 217 was delivered 11.42, and by 10.11.42 the unit had: 10 He 111H-12, 2 He 111P-4 and 14 Do 217E-5.
Disbanded 4.43, and was absorbed by II./KG100.
